Two rats were spotted in a British tourist’s washroom in Turkey

In Turkey, a British traveller said he discovered two rats in his toilet before one sprang out and went around the hotel room.

The four-star Suncity Hotel in Oludeniz, Turkey, according to Andy Walker, 32, had a rat running around the room when his wife started crying and hopped into the bed.

In a startling video, a wet rat is seen squirming about in the water at the bottom of the toilet bowl as it attempts to flee.

On July 3, according to Walker, who paid £1,980 for the Jet2 all-inclusive vacation, a second rat was originally in the bathroom but was able to escape before roaming around the hotel room.

When Yorkshire resident Walker informed the hotel personnel about the rats, they said, “Yes, we have rats; we can deal with the matter in the morning.”

He said that after asking a room change, the couple was relegated to a room with a single bed.

The finding made the pair so repulsed that they were unable to consume any of the hotel’s meals.

Walker said that they had been looking for rats beneath every toilet lid out of concern that they would run across a rat once again.

Walker described the couple’s incident in today’s interview, saying: “We started unpacking and I went to the bathroom and raised the toilet seat and two rats tried to leap out. One was successful, while the other was still in the bathroom.

“I called reception to voice my displeasure, and to my shock they responded, “Yes, we have rats; we can take care of the issue in the morning.””

The hotel personnel said, “Yes, we have rats, we can deal with the problem in the morning,” according to Walker, who is from Harrogate, Yorkshire.

My wife then started crying and hid from the rats by standing on the bed, Walker continued.

“I went to the front desk and ordered that our room be moved.” They ultimately did, but it was now a room with only a single bed.

“The walls were paper thin, so every night we could hear the club next door.”

Walker said that Jet2 has not responded to his concerns and that he just got a boilerplate email stating that it will take 30 days to review the complaint.

Walker said that six weeks had passed with no response.

He said, “I received a general email stating that it takes 30 days to investigate these kinds of complaints. After six weeks, there has still been no apology.

“The all-inclusive meals were a waste of time since we didn’t eat at the hotel,” we said. For as long as we could, we made an effort to avoid entering the hotel.

I still have to check every toilet twice as a result of that event.

“We very certainly won’t use Jet2 again.”

‘We would want to apologise to Mr. Walker and his family for this singular event,’ a Jet2 spokeswoman stated. ‘They were transferred to another room on the same day.

The hotel continues to garner outstanding ratings on Trip Advisor, and we haven’t received any further complaints of this sort.
