This horrible incident occurred when a male NYPD detective hit a lady in the face so forcefully that she fell to the ground.
Around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, the incident occurred on W136 Street in Harlem when Detective Kendo D. Kincey and his associates tried to apprehend Elvin James, 22, who was sought in connection with a homicide that occured on August 12.
According to the NYPD, the guy was discovered to have a loaded gun and a significant quantity of controlled narcotics on him. When officers tried to apprehend him, many people attacked them.
The video captured a chaotic scene as a horde of police officers engaged a gathering of individuals outside of what seemed to be an apartment complex in Harlem.
As police apprehended one individual, there were shouts from the crowd, and it seemed like a fight broke out between the police and someone in the crowd.
Then a petite lady in a skirt dashed into the confusion and started conversing with the guy being apprehended.
The lady then seemed to engage in a confrontation with an officer, Officer Kinsey, who attempted to eject her from the throng by thrusting his arm in her direction.
When the lady slapped at Kinsey’s arm, he punched her directly in the face so hard that she flew off her feet and fell on the ground on her back.
Uncertain as to whether the lady smacked her head on the pavement, Kinsey was yelled at by the audience as she was seen stunned and gripping her face with both hands. She’s just a young girl,
The lady was then quietly brought to her feet by Kinsey and another officer, who then handcuffed and took her away while she remained silent and had a blank look on her face.
Along with James, the NYPD said that Tamani Crum, 19, and Faith Harrell, 27, were also detained on charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
A court summons was issued to a third lady, 26, for spitting on an officer.
If any of those ladies were the one Kinsey punched in the video, it’s unknown.
In 2005, Kinsey started working as a police officer with the NYPD. He joined the 32nd Precinct in 2021 and is a detective expert.
