The Mamelodi Sundowns family gathered at Chloorkop to send their best wishes to the Ladies Team as they prepare for the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco. Denis Onyango, captain of the men’s first team, delivered a farewell speech to Banyana Ba Style during an occasion attended by family members, the men’s first team squad, management, and chairman Thlopie Motsepe. The Ladies enter the competition as defending champions and seek to defend their title and bring home the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League Cup.

The Ugandan international and CAF Champions League winner wished the Ladies well on behalf of the Senior squad as they traveled to Morocco to defend their CAF WCL crown. He stated, “On behalf of the team, we would want to congratulate you on your achievement in the League and wish you well.” We are constantly rooting for you and will support you till the final day of the event.”

Sundowns Ladies recently achieved a remarkable accomplishment by scoring over 100 goals and amassing 73 league goals. Banyana Ba Style want to earn the club’s second star in the CAF WCL competition after successfully defending their Hollywoodbets Super League championship. “The Mamelodi Sundowns family is optimistic that the ladies will retain the trophy,” said the former CAF-winning goalkeeper.

The second edition of the event will feature a total of eight (8) clubs, including Banyana Ba Style. The competition is scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 13, 2022. Sundowns Ladies Team will play their debut game on October 31, 2022 against Bayelsa Queens FC at the Grand Stade De Marrakech in Morocco. The match will begin at 20:00.
