According to the New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game, a climber fell to his death off a cliff at Everett Dam in Clough State Park in the town of Weare. The Weare Police Department identified the victim as Nashua, New Hampshire resident Colbee Cammarata-Hodgman, age 18.

Sunday at 4 p.m., rescue workers were dispatched after receiving a report of a person climbing a cliff that was off the trail and not a designated climbing place, according to an official news release.

According to officials, Cammarata-Hodgman had no climbing gear or safety equipment.

Members of the Weare Fire Department and the police were unsuccessful in their efforts to save lives.

High-angle, rope-rescue procedures were deployed by rescue teams to collect the victim.

Clough State Park’s website states that “recreationists must possess the required knowledge, skills, and equipment to ensure their own safety.”
