Friday at approximately 11.30 p.m., dashcam footage from another vehicle shows a black police car running a red light in the west Melbourne suburb of Tarneit.

The officer’s lights and sirens were on, but the driver of a white Toyota Yaris fails to detect them and crashes into them, causing the officers’ car to spin violently before coming to a halt.

In Melbourne’s west, a white Toyota collided with an unmarked police vehicle at high speed.Despite the obvious impact of the crash there were no major injuries reported from the occupants of either vehicle

The massive impact of the collision throws debris across the junction and causes glass windows to shatter upon impact.

However, a pedestrian can be seen crossing the road in the background without even slowing down despite the catastrophic collision occurring only a few meters of him.

Despite the presence of ambulance workers, miraculously no significant injuries were reported.

A 45-year-old man and an eight-year-old child were in the Toyota and received minor injuries at the scene.

Despite the obvious severity of the collision, neither vehicle’s occupants reported serious injuries.
