Swansea’s Injury and Suspension

Swansea City’s manager, Russell Martin, has confirmed that midfielder Joe Allen will miss the upcoming Championship match against Middlesbrough due to a muscle injury sustained in the team’s recent 1-0 defeat to Luton Town.

Meanwhile, captain Matt Grimes, who missed the Luton game due to illness, is expected to return for the match against Boro. Martin expressed disappointment at Allen’s injury but hopes that he will only miss a few games.

Martin also confirmed that, aside from the injured goalkeepers, the rest of the squad is fit and available for selection.

Martin also addressed the recent charges brought against him by the Football Association following his red card during the Luton match.

Martin was involved in a touchline altercation with Luton’s assistant manager, Richie Kyle, in the closing stages of the game, resulting in both Martin and Kyle being sent off by referee Dean Whitestone.

Martin believes that the incident was not serious enough to warrant a touchline ban and hopes that he will not miss any games as a result.

Swansea City are currently seeking to end a run of four games without a victory and face a tough challenge against Middlesbrough, who are currently third in the Championship standings and on a strong run of form.

Martin acknowledged the quality of the opposition but expressed confidence in his team’s ability to cause problems for Middlesbrough and is looking forward to the match.
