A Secondary School Pupil Airlifted to Hospital in Swansea

A secondary school pupil in Swansea experienced a medical emergency during their lunch-break, prompting a swift response from the Wales Air Ambulance and Welsh Ambulance Service.

The incident occurred at Olchfa School in Sketty, and school staff immediately attended to the pupil.

Emergency Services Respond to the Incident

The Welsh Ambulance Service was contacted regarding the incident on Gower Road, Swansea, on the 24th of May, shortly after 1 pm.

In response, they dispatched an emergency ambulance, a Cymru high acuity response unit paramedic, and a duty operational manager to the scene.

The Wales Air Ambulance also provided support.

As a result of the situation, the individual in question was transported by air to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for further medical attention.
