Christian high school teacher got apprehended for sexting pupil

A Christian high school teacher was arrested after she allegedly sent a student sexually explicit text messages and plotted to bring him into her house while her husband was away.

On Wednesday, Julie Hoover, 38, a teacher at Point of Grace Christian School in Perry, Florida, was arrested and charged with soliciting or participating in sex with a kid as an authority figure.

According to police records obtained by WCTV, the student’s mother discovered the graphic messages on her son’s phone on June 2 and reported it to authorities.

According to investigators, Hoover had been sexting with the 18-year-old student, a senior at the school, from March through April.
Hoover was planned to have her son over to her house while her husband was out at work, according to the student’s mother.

Hoover was released on a $15,000 bond on Thursday.

According to investigators, the student was enrolled in more than one of Hoover’s classes.

Hoover, a St. Leo University graduate, has been teaching math at the school since 2018, according to her LinkedIn profile.
As of June 12, Hoover’s social media accounts were disabled.

The modest school, which educates kindergarten through 12th grade, graduated only 20 pupils this year.
