Sundowns Ladies win 8–0 over First Touch

In the latest round of the Hollywoodbets Super League, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies continued their great form ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League with an 8-0 victory over First Touch.

Lelona Daweti stole the show with a magnificent hat-trick, while Boitumelo Rabale scored twice and Andisiwe Mgcoyi, Melinda Kgadiete, and Miche Minnies all scored goals.

Zanele Nhlapho, Regina Mogolola, Tiisetso Makhubela, and Thalea Smide were the starting defenders, while Andile Dlamini remained in goal. Chuene Morifi, Rhoda Mulaudzi, and Lelona Daweti began play in the center of the field, while Boitumelo Rabale, Nonhlanhla Mthandi, and Melinda Kgadiete began play in the forward positions.

Banyana Ba Style scored four goals in a brilliant first half of offensive play thanks to a brace from Boitumelo Rabale and goals from Lelona Daweti and Melinda Kgadiete.

Lelona Daweti scored her first hat trick of the season in the second half, which led to four more goals. Andisiwe Mgcoyi and Miche Minnies both scored as Sundowns Ladies won their eighth consecutive win without allowing a goal.

This season, the Brazilians have scored a staggering 112 goals in the Hollywoodbets Super League, a number that thrills Coach Jerry ‘Kappa’ Tshabalala.

“Our goal is to score many goals because goals win games and ultimately championships.” One of our goals is to reach a +100 goal differential. Despite our pursuit of these stats, we aspire to win games frequently and have fun on the field. This number of goals enhances our confidence in advance of the CAF Women’s Champions League, which is imminent. We intend to implement this offensive strategy in Morocco,” stated Kappa.

Coach Jerry was particularly happy with the return of injured important players who had missed the previous games.

“The medical staff deserves praise for the manner they have monitored the health of our athletes. Andisiwe Mgcoyi and Rhoda Mulaudzi’s return to scoring form after multiple injuries bodes well for our team. We will rely on their experience throughout the CAF Women’s Champions League, which makes their return to the club a wonderful fit,” Coach Jerry said.

Sundowns Ladies now have 73 points after their 8-0 thrashing of First Touch, with 24 wins in 27 games, 112 goals scored and 11 conceded. Banyana Ba Style has also accomplished a +101 goal difference.

Boitumelo Rabale has now scored 21 goals for the Sundowns, two more than Miche Minnies, who has scored 19 goals. Andisiwe Mgcoyi has 11 goals, Melinda Kgadiete has 9 goals, and Rhoda Mulaudzi has 8 goals.

Coach Jerry’s squad has also successfully defended its Hollywoodbets Super League championship and will now go to Morocco to defend their CAF Women’s Champions League trophy.

Congratulations to the Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies for yet another outstanding performance!
