One of the store managers attempted to confront the suspect, but the man became more enraged and, in a fit of passion, attempted to slash the manager.
Moments thereafter, a man identified as Demario Davis ambushed the suspect from behind with a metal pole and struck him in the head.

Davis was shopping at Walmart with his son when he witnessed the man’s irrational behavior and decided to interfere. He stated that he utilized his military training to subdue the subject.
“I was at the register when my son spotted the man walking in with an open knife,” he told Fox News.
He then went to the service desk and brandished the knife at several female employees.
According to him, the man shouted, “When the police arrive, I’ll start chopping you up!”
Adding to his description of the incident, he said, “I casually walked over to the object not only to take him down but also to protect myself in case I failed, but thanks to my extensive military training, I was able to neutralize the threat until law enforcement arrived.”
LaQuanda Eichelberger, a Walmart employee and witness, captured the horrifying video.
“A customer demanded $20 from me at the self-service checkout where I work,” she told Storyful.
As the action progresses, Eichelberger is heard narrating, “Oh, he’s waving the knife.” The man is overheard saying, “Kill you all.” Simply give the man $20, she instructed. Walmart, please give the man $20.
She continued: “Someone hand the man over.”
