Knife-wielding thugs took a £60,000 Rolex in Chelsea, a witness alleged

As she witnessed masked attackers take a woman’s £60,000 Rolex at knifepoint, the witness to a violent robbery in London claimed she felt “helpless.”

The 40-year-old lady said that the robbers were desperate to get their hands on the watch at any costs when they assaulted the female victim and her male friend on a quiet street in Chelsea, west London, on Monday.

She said, “They were obviously going to obtain what they came for, come what may.”

The guy in his 40s and the lady in her 30s were ambushed as they strolled through the exclusive neighbourhood by two hooded criminals wearing balaclavas and all-black attire who had just jumped out of a Mitsubishi automobile.

According to the witness, she urged her teenage children to video the assault on their phones while she contacted the police after hearing screams.

She worries however that they may have gotten away with it even with the video evidence.

You feel so powerless, but what else can you do? she continued. Seeing this take place on the street where I’ve lived for 14 years was horrifying.

The lady stayed in my vehicle as we waited for the police, while my son and daughter walked down to provide the couple with some water. They arrived in around 25 minutes.

The lady said her watch was a rose gold Rolex, which is valued at roughly £60,000, and the pair were international visitors. My daughter gently reminded her that it wasn’t appropriate for her to be wearing it on show in London, but how could they have known?

They claimed to have been in South Kensington, therefore we believe the gang there saw them and watched them until they entered a quiet side street before striking.

The police seized our footage when they came, but they also said that the vehicle would have been stolen or had cloned licence plates, and that following the theft, they would have likely discarded it before leaving in three different directions on the bus or the Tube.

It seems that they get away with it unless they are caught in the act.

One of the crooks can be seen fighting with the female victim as she lies in a doorway in Pond Place in fresh video footage that MailOnline has acquired.

The robbers already had the watch when an old woman attempted to help them with a broom handle, and they fled in their vehicle after grabbing the watch.

The most recent knife attack in downtown London drew reactions from social media users, some of whom blamed mayor Sadiq Khan.

In response to video posted on Instagram, TV personality Shabs Ahmad threatened Mr. Khan that if he does not intervene to stop the wave of violent crime that is still sweeping across London, he would have “blood on his hands.”

“Sadiq Khan, are you watching this s***, mate?” he said. And you’re too preoccupied to extend ULEZ?

Sort things out. You will have blood on your hands, as I have said.

“This person might have been stabbed very easily.”

“All I’m saying is I believe we all need to be ready for them because ain’t nobody taking my s***,” he said.

Omid Scobie, a royal biographer, stated: “Another day, another watch mugging in London” (call the Met Police if you have info about this Knightsbridge incident).

Sadiq Khan is doing all he can while criminals continue to rule the city.

I won’t wear a watch out again after was jumped lately in Mayfair, and I advise you to do the same.

After being summoned to the site on Monday soon before 2.40 pm, The Met has opened an inquiry into the incident.

Owain Richards, chief superintendent, denounced the “appalling event.”

No one should experience such intolerable assault, he said.

“Our hardworking Robbery Team is looking into it and looking through CCTV.” We are concentrating our attention in the hotspots since we have seen an increase in watch robberies.

Police are asking witnesses or anybody with information to phone 101 referencing CAD 3968/22 August as there have not yet been any arrests made.

A daring robber posing as a Deliveroo driver on Sunday tried to steal a Kuwaiti playboy’s Rolex by smashing a £3 million Bugatti Chiron with a hammer as the car sped through the city.

Since demand rises on Mayor Sadiq Khan to effectively combat the issue of knife crime, which has increased over the last year as the UK entered the Covid crisis, at least four people were stabbed in a dispute on Saturday in south London.
