INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1⁄2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1 1⁄2 cups sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

METHOD

  • To make these delicious cookies, start by preheating your oven to 190°C.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder, and then set the bowl aside.
  • Next, in a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until the mixture is smooth. It’s important to ensure that your butter is soft before starting this step.
  • Then, beat the egg and vanilla essence into the butter and sugar mixture. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients, making sure to mix everything together until fully combined.
