Search for four missing Oklahoma cyclists five days after they disappeared during a group ride

Four Oklahoma bikers have been missing for days following a group bike trip, perplexing police.

Sunday around 8 p.m., Mark Chastain, 32, his brother Billy, 30, Mike Sparks, 32, and Alex Stevens, 29, left their homes in Okmulgee and have not been seen since.

A witness claimed to have spotted the gang wandering along a roadway about 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, but police have not corroborated the sighting.

Joe Prentice, the police chief, stated that Mark Chastain’s cell phone was detected in a salvage yard and that authorities are investigating the location.

Only two members of the group brought their phones, and both go directly to voicemail when they are contacted.

Prentice told News on 6: ‘I can’t make sense of the actual facts because they are so extraordinary.’

He stated that he is growing increasingly anxious, although there is no evidence of wrongdoing.

The men were believed to have visited a junk yard west of Okmulgee, a Murphy’s gas station, and a salvage yard near Schulter, where Mark’s phone died or was turned off.

Prentice stated, “At this time, the information indicates that there are four missing adults. I have no indication that violence is involved at this time, but we always consider it a possibility in any case involving missing persons and are not ruling it out, but there are no persons of interest.”

Jessica Chastain, Mark’s wife, told Fox News, ‘I know nothing and I feel lost. I’m heartbroken. I’m sad. I have so many contradictory feelings and thoughts.

According to my knowledge, nothing has been recovered. Nothing was discovered. There is no evidence of wrongdoing.

Okmulgee police stated in their most recent update that they are going through hours of video and GPS data.

Due of the challenging terrain, officers are utilizing drones to aid in their search.

They stated yesterday, “Additional locations have been discovered as possible video sources, and they will be approached tomorrow.

“Search warrants for phone records have been submitted, and warrants for Facebook accounts will be forthcoming.”

‘It is essential to keep in mind that without an actual appearance of the missing guys on camera along the path established by phone data, we cannot conclusively state that the missing individuals travelled that road.

Instead, only one of their phones worked. We will continue our investigation and examine any new evidence we unearth.
