Four Oklahoma bicyclists disappear while on group ride

Four buddies from Oklahoma who vanished five days ago after going on a bike trip together are still unaccounted for.

Leaving their Okmulgee residences on Sunday at 8 o’clock, Mark Chastain, 32, his brother Billy, 30, Mike Sparks, 32, and Alex Stevens, 29, have not been seen since.

A witness claimed to have spotted the group strolling down a roadway around 2 am on Tuesday after the group went missing on Monday, but police have not corroborated the sighting.

Police are now searching a salvage yard where Mark’s mobile phone was last ping. Only two members of the gang are thought to have stolen their phones, and when phoned, both go straight to voicemail.

Police Chief Mark Prentice claims to be perplexed by the situation and has never in his time seen the simultaneous disappearance of four persons.

Prentice admitted to News on 6 that she was unable to make sense of the real facts because they were so extraordinary.

He noted that although he has not yet discovered any proof of wrongdoing, he is getting more and more worried.

The guys are said to have stopped at a Murphy’s gas station first, then visited the salvage yard next to Schulter, where Mark’s phone died or was turned off.

We always consider that a possibility in any missing persons case and we’re not discounting that possibility, but not persons of interest, said Prentice. “At this point, the evidence tells me I have four missing adults, and I have no evidence there has been any violence involved at this point,” he added.

Jessica Chastain, Mark’s wife, said to Fox News: “I don’t know anything, and I’m feeling lost.” I’m devastated. I’m sad. My ideas and feelings are so conflicted.

Nothing has been found as far as I’m aware. There is nothing to report. There is no indication of wrongdoing.

Okmulgee police stated in their most recent report that they are sorting through hours of footage and GPS data.

Officers are enlisting the aid of drones in their hunt because to the challenging terrain.

The following sites have been identified as prospective sources for more footage, and they will be approached tomorrow, they announced yesterday.

Alex Stevens

“Search warrants for phone records have been requested, and warrants for Facebook accounts will follow.”

It’s crucial to keep in mind that without seeing the missing guys in person on camera traveling the route that has been identified by phone data, we cannot say for sure that they did.

Billy Chastain

Only one of their phones really did. We are doing more research and keeping track of any new information.

Updates will be delivered as soon as they become available.
