Two persons have been detained on suspicion of murdering a man at a mansion in a wealthy Dorset neighbourhood.
Saturday night, Poole police were sent to an address in Canford Cliffs after receiving allegations that a man in his forties had died unexpectedly. Officers detained a 42-year-old male and a 43-year-old woman at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The lady, a native of the region, and the male, a Londoner from Wimbledon, were both known to the victim, according to the Dorset Police.
In response to the incident, police sealed off the residence on Bessborough Road, a street packed with detached homes and luxury apartments.
The Canford Cliffs neighborhood is renowned for its inhabitants’ affluent way of life; it boasts some of the highest property values in the UK outside of London, with properties often selling for more than £1 million.
A spokeswoman for the Dorset Police said on Sunday that the man’s death was being investigated as “unexplained.”
“At 11:48 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022, the ambulance service notified us of a sudden death at an address on Bessborough Road in the Canford Cliffs neighborhood of Poole,” he stated.
Officers responded to the scene and found the death of a guy in his forties. His family and the coroner have been informed.
“At this moment, the death is being considered as unexplained, and inquiries are being conducted into its circumstances.
“A cordon has been established at the location, and crime scene investigations as well as house-to-house inquiries are being conducted.
A 42-year-old local lady and a 43-year-old Londoner from Wimbledon have been detained on suspicion of murder. Both were acquainted with the victim.
