27-year-old mother discovered dead; 66-year-old man charged with murder

The family of a ‘lovely and kind’ mother, 27, whose murder has been attributed to a 66-year-old man residing at the same location, expressed ‘heartbreak’ at the news.

Tuesday morning at approximately 2:00 a.m., the body of 27-year-old Mckyla Taylor was discovered in a residence on Lowtown Street in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

In an emotional memorial, Mckyla’s family stated, “There are no words to convey what our family is going through.”

All we can say is that our hearts are utterly broken.

“We have lost a beautiful and kind daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandchild, and cousin.

We are heartbroken that our beloved Mckyla was taken from us in the worst way possible, and that we will never again see her beautiful face and grin.David Jackson, 66, who lived at the same address as Mckyla, has been charged with murder and is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.The 'heartbroken' family of murdered Mckyla Taylor, 27 - who was found dead at a house in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, shortly after 2am on Tuesday - said they have been left with a 'big hole in our hearts that can never be fixed'

It has left us with such a large void in our hearts that will never be filled.

David Jackson, 66 years old, who shared Mckyla’s address, has been accused with murder.

Monday is his next court date at Nottingham Crown Court.

Detective Inspector Kaz Smithson of the Nottinghamshire Police stated, ‘Mckyla’s death was an incredible tragedy, and I can only image the anguish her family is through at this time.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and tell them that we are doing everything in our power to deliver them the justice they deserve.

We are thrilled to have taken a major step forward in our investigation by charging a suspect who has now appeared in court.
