22-year-old woman discovered dead in hotel room; 3 guys arrested for murder


Three men aged 26, 46, and 49 have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of the body of a 22-year-old woman at a Liverpool hotel.

At 6.37am on Saturday morning, Merseyside Police were summoned to the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool’s city centre after ‘concerns’ were expressed for the safety of a 22-year-old lady, only to discover her death in a hotel room.

A 26-year-old male from Seacombe, a 46-year-old man from Liverpool, and a 49-year-old man from Widnes have all been detained on suspicion of murder in connection with the event.

The Adelphi Hotel’s guests were awakened by the sound of police ‘banging’ on their doors after the 22-year-body old’s was discovered.

As the ambulance and police cars stood guard outside the doors, visitors were permitted to enter and exit without restriction.

Others were startled by their abrupt awakening and were confronted by a large number of ambulances and scientific support vehicles. Many stood outside and conversed with one another as they attempted to piece together the events of the previous night, while others were alarmed by their rude awakening and the sight of a large number of ambulances and scientific support vehicles.

Jennifer, a hotel visitor from York, told the Liverpool Echo, “I arrived last night and woke up this morning to see police and paramedics here for who knows how long.”

“The police have come knocking on everyone’s door, demanding to know what we have seen.”

“We have awakened, and we have no idea what is happening; it might be anything.”

It is horrifying to think that this could have happened while I was asleep and that the perpetrator may have entered my bedroom.

At 10.30 a.m., three police officers led a man in handcuffs out of the premises. At 9 a.m., another guest reportedly witnessed a man with a “bruised face and a limp” being carried into the back of an ambulance.

A man from Birmingham who was in Liverpool for a “big night out” reported that he was awakened at 7 a.m. by a police officer standing outside his hotel room door after returning to the hotel early this morning.

“Around 7 a.m., they questioned me if I had noticed a disturbance during the night,” he explained.

“They informed me that something occurred on my floor at approximately 3 a.m. this morning, and someone just informed me that there is a cordon in the corridor,”

It’s just a little crazy. I did not anticipate waking up to this and having a hangover.’

Detectives said that they are ‘keeping an open mind’ on the woman’s death probe.

Police are currently identifying the woman’s next of kin while investigations continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Lynsay Armbruster stated, “We are in the first phases of the inquiry and are attempting to understand the circumstances surrounding the death of the young woman.” Please come forward if you were in the hotel in the wee hours of this morning and saw or heard anything.

“CCTV investigations are underway, and I urge anyone with knowledge to please contact me.”

Merseyside Police Detective Chief Inspector Lynsay Armbuster stated, ‘We are in the very early phases of the investigation and are attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of the young woman.

“I am appealing to anyone who was at the hotel during the early hours of this morning who may have witnessed or heard anything to come forward.”

Merseyside Police are conducting CCTV investigations and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
