Two women, three males arrested after 40-year-old woman discovered dead in home

Five persons have been detained in connection with the alleged murder of a lady discovered dead in a residence early this morning.

At before 1 a.m. this morning, emergency services were called to a home in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

A lady in her forties was discovered deceased inside. Three males, ages 32, 34, and 40, and two women, ages 36 and 43, were detained on suspicion of murder.

They are being held in custody, and detectives are on the site while investigations continue, according to Warwickshire Police.

The victim’s family has been informed of her death, and a post-mortem will be performed as soon as possible, according to the police.

‘An investigation has commenced, and we are seeking to discover the circumstances of the woman’s death, which is yet unexplained,’ said Detective Superintendent Caroline Corfield.

‘We are actively investigating a variety of lines of inquiry in order to piece together a picture of what transpired.’

‘We would want to invite anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity between Friday night and approximately 1.15 a.m. this morning to please come forward.’ Similarly, if anybody has any concerns or information that might be of assistance, we encourage them to approach and talk with one of our officers. There will be more police in the neighborhood, and I want to reassure the community that we are doing a thorough investigation.

‘At this terrible moment, our sympathies are with the woman’s family and friends.’
