Princess Anne stated William and Harry wouldn’t have ‘handled’ Diana’s death if the Queen hadn’t kept them at Balmoral

Following Princess Diana’s passing, Queen Elizabeth II made the correct decision to keep William and Harry at Balmoral, according to Princess Anne.

In a 2017 interview with ITV News that was published on Sunday, Anne fully supported her mother’s choice.
She stated that she believes the boys “would not have been able to deal” with the London catastrophe.

Princess Anne believes her mother, Queen Elizabeth II, made the correct decision by keeping Prince William and Prince Harry at Balmoral following Princess Diana’s death in 1997, as the young princes “would not have been able to cope” in London.

Anne supported her mother’s choice to keep the boys in Scotland following the death of the Princess of Wales, according to a 2017 interview with ITV News published on Sunday.

Anne stated to ITV News, “My mum did precisely what was necessary.” “It is unfathomable that any parent with a sound mind could have believed there was an alternative to bringing those children to London in all that commotion.”

She said, “I have no idea how you could have thought that was the best option.”

Anne continued, “I don’t believe either of those two would have been able to cope had they been elsewhere.”

Anne continued by stating that the decision was the one positive outcome of the tragedy.

“They had that framework, they had people around them who could understand, and they were given the time, the little time that they had, which was never going to be a lot, to attempt to come to grips with what had happened, if only in a passing sense.”

She continued, “It is impossible for the majority of people to achieve that in that space, let alone youngsters of that age.”
