Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are busy recreating Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime performance, so please don’t stop the music.
The “Dancing With the Stars” pro and her pregnant co-star said they “just couldn’t resist” performing with their son, age 6, on Monday, according to the star’s Instagram post.
Before jokingly calling out her spouse, 43, for having a “secret crush” on the “Umbrella” performer, Murgatroyd, 36, wrote that “Shai stole the show.”
Murgatroyd displayed her bare stomach in a sweatsuit while lip-syncing to “Bitch Better Have My Money,” in contrast to Rihanna, 35, who covered her baby bump earlier this month while performing onstage at the NFL title game.
In the social media broadcast, Chmerkovskiy and Shai wore outfits made entirely of white to match Rihanna’s dancers.
One Instagram user joked that “y’all are just Shai’s backup dancers now,” while another said the kindergartener “put his folks to shame.”
Daniella Karagach, a 30-year-old “DWTS” professional who is also expecting, said, “This gave Vitality.”
Murgatroyd revealed the news of her own expanding family in January, while Rihanna made her pregnancy announcement during a hit-filled show on February 12.
She wrote the description for pictures from a maternity shoot, “We have a healthy bun in the oven.” “Our family is extraordinarily happy as a result of this news, and we are very appreciative.
The choreographer continued, “It was a shock to all of us,” adding that she and Chmerkovskiy had conceived naturally following a failed attempt at in vitro fertilization.
Due in June, the new arrival for the pair will be their rainbow child because Murgatroyd previously experienced three miscarriages in a period of two years.
Six months prior to their New York wedding, in January 2017, she and Chmerkovskiy welcomed a child.
