Police claim that Marjorie Taylor Greene’s house was the subject of a swatting call.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican, was the subject of a swatting call on Wednesday morning, which is a call intended to needlessly draw a large, armed police presence to a specific residence.

According to a Rome Authorities Department incident report, just after one in the morning, police got a call from a VA crisis line about a man who had been “shot five times in a bathtub.” A female was still inside the house, according to the crisis line, and “maybe had some children inside with her,” according to authorities.

While on their way to the house, the officers discovered it belonged to Greene, according to the report. Police made a “tactical approach” to the congresswoman’s house and rang her doorbell as they tried to figure out what was going on.

Minutes later, Greene opened the door and said there were no issues at the house, according to the report. She asked for a “keep check” on her house and promised to notify the appropriate security authorities.
