On her debut day as a guest presenter on The Daily Show, Chelsea Handler did not hold back. After greeting the audience to Monday’s (Feb. 6) program and saying, “This is where I get to spend a week talking crap about all the kooks and hot messes out there,” the comedian gleefully destroyed none other than Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.
After making light of the Chinese spy balloon that was shot down in South Carolina over the weekend, Handler added, “In other exciting news, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a.k.a. Capitol Storming Barbie, despises her job, which is so funny because the rest of us despise her having a job, too.”
The guest host could not help but roll her eyes while referring to a recent interview in which a Republican politician admitted that becoming a member of Congress has made her life “miserable” and that she has grumbled about the “demanding” and “practically year-round” nature of her job.
“First and foremost, you are not a normal person, you idiot! “You’re a congressperson because you ran for office and won, which requires year-round work,” Handler added. Also, I do not wish to work year-round, which is why I do not.
Then, if she doesn’t like her current job, she could “go work at Foot Locker, bitch,” Handler urged Greene, referencing Kim Kardashian’s contentious Variety statement.
However, the former Chelsea Lately anchor stated that Greene’s remarks were “not even the worst part” of his interview. “Well, if that’s not the pot calling the kettle QAnon,” Handler said in response to the congresswoman’s assertion that individuals approach her and say “crazy things out of the blue in public places that they believe because they read it on the internet.”
She continued, “This woman believed 9/11 was a fraud, the Clintons murdered JFK Jr., and Jews control space lasers. But please, don’t bombard her with ludicrous notions; she may believe them.”
