Pensioner, 91 feels devastated for the loss of his dog

An emotional 91-year-old retiree who is determined to recover his family’s lost dog has offered a £15,000 reward and is now supported by a number of famous people.

When border terrier-cross Flossie, age three, vanished in September of last year, Jim Scott was horrified.

Ten months after Flossie vanished, Rachel Riley of Countdown, Brenda Blethyn of Vera, and author Ann Cleeves have all backed Mr. Scott’s campaign to find her.

The well-known trio all shared his online message, and 1.5 million people have seen Mr. Scott’s plea for assistance in locating her.

The death of Flossie has shattered my dad’s heart, and he often asks whether she’s back yet, according to Mr. Scott’s daughter Gill Keeley.

He used to bring her snacks when he visited, and he is utterly heartbroken over her disappearance.

“My dad has always had dogs, and he feels that a piece of his life was ripped away when Flossie disappeared.”

While Mrs. Keeley and her husband Nick were taking Flossie for a stroll over the Northumberland sand dunes between Seaton Sluice and Blyth, Flossie got off.

Mr. Scott, who is a single man, used to look forward to seeing Flossie. She has unusual white front paws, among other things.
