Pensioner whose neighbors were attacked by a dog is ‘terrified to walk outdoors’

A senior citizen has said that she is ‘terrified’ and feels ‘like a prisoner in her own house’ after a dog attack on her neighbors.

Friday around 6 p.m., police were called to Nottingham Road in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, due to an incident.

Allegedly, a third youngster was also attacked, and all four victims were treated for their injuries.

A guy in his twenties was detained on accusations of assault, coercive and controlling behavior, and dangerously out-of-control dog ownership. Four canines, presumed to be American Bullies, were confiscated by police.

The lady, who is in her seventies and lives in a terraced property next door, detailed how she felt imprisoned when new tenants came in 18 months ago and disregarded a “no dogs” ban.

She said to The Sun, “I’m a prisoner in my own house.” I’m too scared to walk outside because of the savage dogs, the chaos, and the odor. It is dreadful.’

The OAP also added that a fence between the homes is so low that she has used three wheelie bins to prevent the dogs from leaping over and assaulting her.

It is frightening. They might simply jump the barrier and launch an assault. She said that the dogs are always barking and look to be quite aggressive.

She recalled the events of Friday evening by saying, “I heard a lot of arguing and the dog was constantly barking.” It sounded poorly.

Another neighbor contacted the police, but they had already been notified and were their route.

Derbyshire Police previously told MailOnline, “Officers responded to complaints of an incident on Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, at around 6:00 p.m. on August 12.”

At the site, it was discovered that a lady in her twenties had been attacked and bitten by a dog, along with two youngsters under the age of 16 who had also been bitten during the event.

‘It was determined that a third youngster under the age of 16 was attacked during the event.

A guy in his twenties was detained at the scene on suspicion of assault, coercive and controlling behavior, and dangerously out-of-control dog ownership. He is now in police detention.

“Four dogs were confiscated from the residence and are presently under the care of a specialized kennel.

All four of the incident’s victims are undergoing treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

One Nottingham Road homeowner said, “There were quite a few police vehicles, and it seemed to be a really serious situation.” I believe they had a suspect in the back of a police vehicle, but I could not see much.

Someone more remarked, ‘The cops were at the roundabout for a considerable amount of time. I cannot fathom how the participants must have felt.

According to local sources, the woman and her children were also going to be expelled from their residence.
