Olivia Pratt-Korbel: New black-and-white footage and evidence show two weapons were used

Today, police in Liverpool released surveillance images of a guy they want to talk with who was in the area when Olivia Pratt-Korbel, 9, was fatally shot.

In addition to fresh information suggesting two weapons were used in the shooting that murdered the schoolgirl at her house in Kingsheath Avenue in Knotty Ash, Liverpool, on the evening of August 22, police also released the black-and-white video yesterday.

Merseyside Police today issued the following appeal to anybody who may know the name or location of the male: “Watch this and if you know anything, tell us.” And if you are unsure about anything, kindly let us know.

Until it is received by the knowledgeable party. Who murdered young Olivia? Nobody knows. and is aware that the moment has come to act morally.

‘#SilenceIsNotAnOption.’

Olivia’s mother said in the video that was updated on social media today: “Liv loved life and everything it had to give. We are devastated.

The police earlier made available CCTV images of the guy wearing a balaclava, who they said shot Olivia.

“We need to know who this individual is, because he was in the vicinity when 9-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was shot and died in her own house,” stated Merseyside Police.

Merseyside Police said: 'We need to know who this man is as he was in the area when 9-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was shot and killed in her own home'

Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen said: “I’m going to show you film of the guy who killed young Olivia” when he released the video of the shooter on Thursday. I’m taking this action in case someone recognises his clothing.

“It could also assist folks recall seeing him in the vicinity on the night Olivia was killed and be able to help us track where he went next,” the author writes.

Police claim the video shows the shooter racing down Finch Lane away from Kingsheath Avenue before turning right onto Berryford Road and disappearing.

We are aware that he is entering and exiting gardens to hide from view, the man said.

Detective Kameen issued a warning to anyone who are “shielding” the offender, saying that police “will use all legal means at their disposal to bring you to justice.”

It is incomprehensible how anybody could stand up for someone who killed a nine-year-old child, he said.

Last Monday night in Liverpool’s Dovecot neighbourhood, an assailant wearing a balaclava pursued his intended victim into Olivia’s house and shot her in the chest.

More than 200 mourners attended a memorial in Olivia’s honour yesterday night.

The small girl’s death has triggered an outpouring of sadness and horror within the Merseyside community, with many putting flowers and messages outside her family’s house.

According to Detective Kameen, the CCTV was made public in the hopes that it might prompt individuals to recall seeing the shooter nearby at the time of the occurrence.

We need to know where he went that night or if anybody saw him nearby. This is the guy we are looking for. Keep in mind that this occurred on Monday, August 22 just after 10 p.m.

“I am aware that this individual will have people protecting and assisting him. We will use all legal means at our disposal to bring you to justice if this is discovered to be what you are doing.

This guy is poisonous, the speaker continued. He is poisonous to our society, and if you are shielding him, he is poisonous to you and your loved ones as well.

“I want you to put your commitment to your families ahead of your loyalty to this guy.” I need to know his current whereabouts.

Additionally, Detective Kameen informed the media that authorities could “now corroborate that two firearms were utilised during this incident.”

I think right now that the shooter carried both of these guns with him and that they were still with him when he callously fled from Olivia’s residence, the guy said. I’d want to know where those weapons are right now.

‘I realise you may be afraid to call us, but I want you to do the right thing for Olivia and tell us where they are right now.

You may have been advised to conceal them or dispose of them.

I put you in the same category as the terrible monster who committed the murder if you are keeping the firearms hidden and have no intention of notifying us. And we’ll hunt you as well.

“I would reiterate that the acts of the individual who committed this heinous assault do not, in any way, shape, or form, compel allegiance.

Olivia’s family needs to know that everyone responsible for her death has been apprehended and found guilty.”

Where are those firearms now, I ask you once again.

Police have previously said that they need to identify the guy because he is thought to have been around when 9-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was fatally shot in her own home in Liverpool on August 22.

Do you know what his name is? Have you seen him? We think he could know crucial details that might aid us in finding her murderer.

A post-mortem investigation determined that Olivia died from a gunshot wound to the chest after a shooter pursued another guy into the building and fatally wounded the little child.

Police, according to Detective Kameen, are also releasing surveillance video of a guy they want to find who was nearby when the incident occurred.

“I’m interested in speaking to him,” he continued, “since he may have evidence that is crucial to the investigation because he was in the area at the relevant time.”

Cheryl Korbel, her mother, was also hurt and is currently undergoing medical attention, according to the police.

In connection with Olivia’s death last week, a 36-year-old man from Huyton and a 33-year-old man from Dovecot were detained and later released on bail on suspicion of murder and two charges of attempted murder.
