According to Merseyside Police, a 34-year-old male has been detained on suspicion of murder and attempted murder in connection with the death of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel.
An other 41-year-old male was detained on charges of aiding an offender.
Early on September 4th, in the Runcorn neighbourhood of Liverpool, they were taken into custody.
In Liverpool, a 34-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of murder and an attempted murder. Detectives are questioning him while he is in police custody.
A 41-year-old Knowsley man has also been taken into jail after being detained on suspicion of helping a criminal.
“I continue to encourage anybody who has information that might assist our investigation into Olivia’s horrific death to please come forward so we can bring those guilty to justice,” said Detective Chief Superintendent and Head of Investigations Mark Kameen.
‘A number of persons have been arrested in regard of this inquiry. To ensure that we can develop a solid body of evidence and bring Olivia and her family’s case to justice, we still need the public’s assistance.
“With this, I urge everyone who may have information—however small—that might support our investigations to get in touch with us directly or anonymously, and we’ll take care of the rest.
