A further arrest has been made concerning the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell in Northern Ireland.
Caldwell was attacked by two masked men at a sports club in Omagh, where he had just finished coaching a youth football team.
Witnesses report that he was attempting to protect children when he was shot multiple times.
The father was taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The suspects, believed to be linked to the New IRA, fled in a car that was later found burned out.
