A North Carolina man has been arrested for kidnapping a woman and attempting to kill her just ‘for the thrill.’ After the woman alleged she was attacked at Hunter Chase Nance’s home, the 24-year-old has been detained on accusations of false imprisonment and kidnapping on Wednesday.
According to investigators, Nance had just met the unnamed victim hours earlier when they exchanged contact information at the petrol station.
The victim then went to Nance’s residence in China Grove, where he barred the entrance and greeted her with a knife. She managed to get the knife away from Nance and get away from his house while getting her hands cut.
Officers watched the victim leave his home before they arrived to apprehend Nance. He allegedly informed the police that the woman “spoiled” his plans to dismember, consume, and leave her body parts out for all to see.
Police were called to the site after they observed the hurt woman leaving Nance’s house.
The woman who was being treated by paramedics outside the suspect’s residence recognized him.
Police said that Nance confessed to the crimes and stated he was interested in cannibalism and murdering others.
A “random” target he noticed at the Circle K gas station off N Main Street, the man likewise described the woman as such. The bond for Nance’s detention is $600,000.
The woman would not have been his first victim that he would have killed for “the thrill,” according to investigators.
The tragedy happened in their peaceful suburban Peaceful Lane community, shocking horrified neighbors.
