Three children killed in North Carolina murder-suicide

Police suspect there was a murder-suicide at a North Carolina group home where five individuals, including three children, were discovered dead.


Saturday around 7:00 a.m., after receiving reports of two people yelling for aid while racing down the street, police discovered the bodies at a property in High Point.

Capt. Matt Truitt of the High Point Police Department told local TV that two unidentified persons were ‘racing down the street… begging for help’ minutes before the five dead were discovered.

The authorities then examined 2734 Mossy Meadow Drive and discovered the bodies of two adults and three children. It is unknown what age the youngsters were.

On Saturday morning at 7 a.m., police discovered five bodies in a North Carolina residence.

Investigators believe the incident was the result of a murder-suicide.

The’screaming’ duo, who detectives suspect were also in the house but fled the tragedy, have been questioned and released.

The police have confirmed that there is no other community threat.

Truitt stated, “Officers forced entry into the residence and conducted a protective sweep to search for victims and anyone else in the home.”

According to Truitt, there were actually four adults at the residence when the ordeal occurred; however, only two escaped and then sought assistance.

One neighbor, who phoned the police when the two adults rang her doorbell and woke her up, told WFMY: ‘I was just thinking, oh my God, what do I do? That’s never happened here before.

“I just dialed 911 because I was like, ‘I’ll just leave it up to them,’ because I didn’t want to put my or my family’s lives in danger.”

Shelley MacMillian, who lives around the block from the crime scene, reported that her son witnessed police officers swarming the neighborhood at 8 a.m. What is going on?’ he inquired.
