Marianne Williamson contests against Biden in next election

Marianne Williamson, the author and self-help guru, has announced that she will challenge President Joe Biden in the Democratic Primary for the next presidential election.

Williamson previously competed in the 2020 Democratic primary and gained attention for her comments about the “dark psychic force” of “collectivized hatred” brought about by former President Donald Trump.

She has not yet confirmed if she will run as a Democrat or a third-party candidate.

New Hampshire’s primary, traditionally the first in the nation, could face competition from Nevada if Biden’s plan to reorder the primaries goes ahead, which has prompted concern from New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley.

Williamson endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders over Biden after dropping out of the 2020 race and has criticized Biden’s campaign tactics.
