Mikel Arteta is stunned Chelsea fired Thomas Tuchel

Last season, Tuchel led Chelsea to a third-place finish in the Premier League, but after six games this season, they are sixth after losing on the road to Leeds United and Southampton.

“I was – we received the news just before the training session”

“It is always unfortunate when a colleague in this profession loses their job. When asked if he was surprised by the ruling, Arteta replied, “Unfortunately, this is how it works.”

“I wish him all the best. The news is unpleasant to hear.

“… We are of the profession that this (may) occur at some point. We must prevent it, enjoy the ride, and appreciate each day since you never know when it will occur.

Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, expressed pity for Tuchel, who led Chelsea to the Champions League in his first season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp stated that the club’s owners, the Fenway Sports Group, had left it up to him to bring the team back on track.

“There are obviously several types of proprietors. Our owners are rather calm and want me to resolve the matter, as opposed to believing that someone else would do so,” Klopp explained.

“That was always how they viewed things. And on the day they altered their minds, they might inform me.”
