A court heard that a man may have given two victims an ‘aphrodisiac’ before sexually abusing them.

Luiz Da Silva Neto, 35, is accused of assaulting two men in November and December last year by spiking them with GHB or GBL and abusing them.

Prosecutors claim the first was targeted on November 9 after visiting Da Silva Neto’s home in Middle Barton, Oxfordshire, to do some work for him.

The couple arrived to the house and drank a few shots of Jagermeister before the male became fatigued, according to the court. He was completely clothed when he went to sleep, yet he awoke nude.

‘He tried to do something about it but realised his body was not working properly. It was as if he was paralysed,’ said prosecuting barrister Matthew Walsh.

The man then realised that Da Silva Neto was naked and performing oral sex on him while pornography played in the background, the court heard.

‘He woke up the next morning and he describes himself as being “broken in two”,’ Mr Walsh added.

The man noticed what he described as a syringe on the side of the kitchen while leaving the property and became convinced he had been drugged, according to the court.

The individual phoned Da Silva Neto a few days later, expressing his “unhappiness” with what had happened.

The court heard that Da Silva Neto made the ‘suggestion’ that he would pay him money to remedy the matter, and that despite being ‘tempted,’ the guy declined.

A month later, a second man was on a night out with work colleagues at West End nightclub Raffles when he started to feel ‘off’, according to the court.

After failing to get a taxi, he left the club and got into a car, at which point he claims his memory began to ‘fade.’

‘Something happened at some stage after he left that club. The prosecution’s case is that the defendant took advantage of the man being drunk,’ said Mr Walsh.

‘At some stage the prosecution says he was also to give him a substance, possibly GHB.’

Mr Walsh called the substance a “aphrodisiac” with “euphoric and hallucinogenic effects.”

The two traveled across London before arriving to Da Silva Neto’s Middle Barton home.

The man had a ‘hazy, partial memory’ of a drink filled with a dark liquid being placed in his mouth and him refusing to drink it, according to the court.

The next day, when the man returned to the property, he discovered he had received messages from various people asking where he was.

He returned to London, where his wife drove him to the hospital, where he underwent tests and was found to be GBL and GHB negative.

Da Silva Neto was arrested two days later, on December 12. Police searched his home and discovered bottles containing GBL traces.

Da Silva Neto, of Wandsworth in southwest London, is charged with two counts of knowingly administering a controlled substance.

He’s also accused of kidnapping, rape, and committing an offense with the intent to commit a sexual offense, as well as two counts of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.

He denies all allegations against him and told detectives during interviews that he and the two men had only had consensual sexual interactions.

The trial is still ongoing.
