LAGOS FIRST LADY URGES CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS TO EXHIBIT GODLY LIFESTYLES, SAYS IT WILL MAKE THE STATE A BETTER PLACE

The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, implored Christian pilgrims who recently returned from the holy land of Jerusalem and the Kingdom of Jordan to live godly lifestyles, stating that it would make the state a better place for everyone to live.

Thursday, at the Chapel of Christ the Light in Alausa, Ikeja, the wife of the State Governor advised pilgrims to apply lessons learnt during the exercise to their everyday lives and to serve as role models for others.

The First Lady stated that the pilgrimage would have had a great influence on the pilgrims and brought about a spiritual renewal and change in them, therefore the need to intentionally demonstrate excellent character and be deserving representatives of Jesus Christ.

Now that you are back, you are urged to apply the principles you’ve learned to your relationship with God and the people you interact with every day.

The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) was praised by Dr. Sanwo-Olu for organising a successful pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan.

The Commissioner for the Ministry of Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, said that the spiritual exercise in the holy land had a beneficial impact on the Jerusalem pilgrims, encouraging them to stay on the straight road and obey God’s instructions.

Pastor Femi Emmanuel, the Presiding Pastor of Livingspring Chapel International, addressed the Jerusalem pilgrims on the topic of “Peculiar-People” from 1 Peter 2:9 and exhorted them to place their confidence in God to bring about brighter days no matter what they were going through.
