A bitter girlfriend allegedly sent a scathing letter to her ex-boyfriend and placed an advertising calling him a “filthy cheater” in a local newspaper.
On Friday morning, a full-page advertisement was published in the independent Mackay and Queensland Life newspaper.
I hope you’re content with her, Steve, wrote ‘Jenny’ in it. Now that the whole community will be aware of your dishonesty.
“To Jenny. P.S. I paid for this advertisement using your credit card.
The newspaper said that it had received scores of messages about the advertisement, which had been placed on page 4 – prime newspaper real estate.
The news source said, “We do not know who Steve is, but allegedly he has been really awful.” We won’t be discussing any specifics about Jenny, we said.
According to the publication, no charges were made to the implicated credit card.
An online sensation was created by the advertising. One reader said, “Jenny seems like someone I want to be friends with.”
But many people smelled rat. The phrase “PR stunt” was spoken by someone.
A second person chimed up, saying, “Of all that occurred, this never happeneddest the most.”
