Lawmaker loses son in a Greece motorcycle accident

After losing her young son in a motorcycle accident while he was on vacation with friends in Greece, a grieving lawmaker has paid homage.

The catastrophe happened on Wednesday when Harry “Digger” Lambley, 23, and his buddies from Alice Springs were vacationing in the Greek Islands.

His mother, Robyn Lambley, an independent representative for Araluen, recalled him as someone who “gave laughter and excitement to the world.”

It is believed that the collision also wounded a second guy from Alice Springs.

After learning of the incident on Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Lambley, the independent member for Araluen, told NT News that “Harry Digger Lambley gave laughter and pleasure to the world.”

Harry, who was just 23 years old, was a native of the area and had grown up there. His many friends and family will miss him dearly, Ms. Lambley added.

Senator Jacinta Price of the Country Liberal Party also posted on social media to offer her sympathies to the family.

I send Robyn Lambley, MLA for the Northern Territory, my sincere condolences on the tragic passing of your son Harry, she wrote.

“Our sons attended the same school, and I cannot fathom the heartache you and your family are going through.”

If Ms. Lambley will take a vacation from her legislative duties is unknown.

Prior to the approaching Fannie Bay bi-election, she was out on the campaign trail for the Country Liberal Party earlier this week.
