King Charles III is planning to gift Prince Harry and Meghan’s Frogmore Cottage to Prince Andrew

King Charles III has reportedly evicted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage, which he is gifting to Prince Andrew, according to a source speaking to Page Six. The eviction process began in January, just one day after the release of Harry’s memoir, “Spare.” The couple, who have since relocated to California, have not been offered another property on the estate. The late Queen Elizabeth II had gifted Frogmore Cottage to the couple. The move to evict them from their former home is seen as spelling the end of their time in the UK, according to The Sun.

“Spare” contained explosive revelations about the royal family, including Prince William’s alleged violent behavior toward Harry over Markle and King Charles joking about Harry’s “real” father. The couple plans to have their belongings moved from Frogmore to their Montecito, Calif., estate. The 5-bedroom Frogmore Cottage will serve as a major downgrade for Prince Andrew, who is used to the more luxurious Royal Lodge, which includes a pool and 30 bedrooms. Andrew is reportedly resisting the move, but the source says it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction.

Queen Elizabeth II stripped Andrew of his military titles and HRH styling in January 2022 over his alleged involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme. The eviction and fallout from “Spare” appear to have left Markle and Harry unfazed, as they were seen enjoying a night out at the San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles recently. Despite the memoir further estranging Harry from his family, an insider told Page Six that the former royal has no regrets about its release. The source added that the couple “seemed to be in extremely good spirits.”
