A mother in Headingley, West Yorkshire, woke up to find a neighbor’s car buried under at least 10 wheelie bins in what she believes was a prank by students. Jaymie Jones initially thought refuse workers had left the bins outside her home, but on closer inspection, she saw the bins were placed on the car’s roof with at least four surrounding it. The stay-at-home mother shared pictures of the strange scene on Facebook, which garnered over 600 likes, shares, and comments.

Jaymie believes mischievous students decorated the blue Ford Focus Zetec car in the night as a joke. She shared the images on Facebook with the caption, “If anyone knows the owner of a blue Ford Focus Zetec in Hyde Park, you might want to give them a call and wake them up.” Police have since moved the ‘obstruction,’ and the bemused mother believes someone contacted them.

Commenters on the post made jokes about the prank, with one writing, “Someone’s wheelie bin done over here,” and another calling it “Jenga: Headingley Edition.” A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said PCSOs attended the scene as the vehicle was causing an obstruction, but the owner of the vehicle later moved it. Jaymie believes the prank was carried out by a student or the person’s friends, given the predominantly student area.
