Students at one of Australia’s most prestigious universities were suspended after playing a scary prank by storming campus housing while wearing black ski masks.
The St Andrew’s College at the University of Sydney has said that it is looking into what happened last weekend at the Australian National University in Canberra.
During the college’s annual “Campus to Country” event, it’s said that a group of students went to the nation’s capital for an unapproved “scavenger hunt,” in which teams of students compete to find certain items or do certain tasks.
The students got into a student housing residence at ANU and wore ski masks when they went inside.

The Sunday Telegraph said that the ANU caught the students and kicked them off campus before turning the case over to the ACT Police.
As investigations continue, St. Andrew’s College has suspended the students who may have been involved and hasn’t ruled out expulsion.
It has also stopped “Campus to Country” events from happening again.
A college spokesman said that the alleged actions of some students on the ANU campus were not allowed and broke the strict code of conduct that was expected of students during this activity.

Living at the college costs more than $32,000 per year.
On its website, the college says that it is a place to live and eat on campus while taking a course at a university in Sydney, including at another university.
The Australian National University in Canberra is still looking into what happened.
