Friday morning, Vice President Kamala Harris dismissed a question about migrants being dropped off in front of her apartment at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C.
Harris hosted brunch for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa before to his bilateral meeting with Vice President Joe Biden at the White House.
A reporter inquired, “What was your reaction to the buses arriving yesterday?”
Harris and Ramaphosa strolled into the apartment without replying to questions as they turned and entered.

On Thursday, after the vice president said the border was’secure,’ Texas’ Republican governor, Greg Abbott, dispatched two busloads of migrants to Harris’ door.
“VP Harris asserts that our border is “safe” and ignores the catastrophe,” Abbott tweeted, taking credit for the move. We’re bringing migrants to her backyard to urge the Biden Administration to protect the border and do its job.
Thursday after delivering remarks at the White House, she refused to answer a similar question on migrants.
On Friday, Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, visited a vaccine center in Washington, D.C. to acquire a COVID booster.
A reporter asked him about his reaction to the migrants being dropped off in front of his home in Washington, D.C.
He stated, “I do have a reaction.” I believe that was disgraceful. These are individuals. These are humans. They should have been handled with dignity and respect, but this was not the case.
Emhoff continued, “And we have so-called leaders in this country who, rather than focusing on what’s good for the public in their own states, use individuals as political pawns.” Again, he stated, “I believe it’s disgraceful.”
Thursday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis arranged a scheme to relocate over fifty migrants to the affluent liberal enclave of Martha’s Vineyard.
Friday at the White House press conference, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed outrage that DeSantis and Abbott would engage in such political stunts. However, when asked if the administration had requested the Republican governors to cease, she claimed she had no calls to read out.
Jean-Pierre stated, “Yesterday, two Republican governors reportedly enticed 100 asylum seekers, including children, onto aircraft and buses with false promises and then abandoned them on the side of a major road hundreds of miles away with nothing but Ziploc bags containing their things.” These were children. They are mothers. They ran from communism. What did Governors DeSantis and Abbott do to them? In a nasty, calculated political act, they utilized them as political puppets and treated them as property.’
Jean-Pierre explained that the migrants who wound up on Martha’s Vineyard were promised employment prospects in Boston.
She stated, “These are the types of strategies employed by smugglers in Mexico and Guatemala.” “But for what?” A photo opportunity? Because these governors care more about putting on a show than coming up with real solutions to help people escape communism.
