According to Kamala Harris, the new space program will “benefit mankind and womankind.”

Prior to Monday’s scheduled launch of the Artemis I rocket, Vice President Kamala Harris got off to a politically correct start when she arrived in Orlando on Sunday.

According to Harris, “The Artemis initiative represents the start of the next age of what we have a history and a tradition of doing, which is to provide vision and inspire innovation in a manner that is going to benefit all humanity and womankind.”

But on Monday, the Artemis I launch was postponed because one of the engines had a temperature problem.

In the future, humanity will return to the moon on an unmanned launch utilizing the new rocket series, including the first woman and person of color.

The first crewed trip is anticipated to take place in 2024, while lunar missions will resume in 2025.

After the launch was postponed on Monday, Harris was questioned as she left Florida about the value of diversity in space.

Therefore, I spent a lot of time with our astronauts, Space Force (Space Guardians) members, and STEM students today. And they come from every background imaginable: intelligent young people, women, and people of color, added Harris.

‘And what they bring to the process is experiences that – that are the range of human experiences. They give perspective that – that cover the range of perspectives that we want to incorporate not only in the mission itself, but how we are thinking about space exploration,’ she continued. ‘Because so much of space exploration is about science. It’s about research. It’s about testing our ideas of what is possible, and then seeing if it can come true.’

‘The diversity of thought that goes into that – the more diverse the better the outcome will be. So it’s very exciting,’ the vice president added.

She also noted that the ‘Space Force/NASA really have made a real solid commitment to diversity among who is getting into the program, who are going, and who’s traveling to space.’

‘And I think we can all be very proud of that,’ Harris added.

Harris also had a bizarre response when asked by a reporter as she departed Florida who was ‘footing the bill’ for Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan.

Instead of answering the question, she pivoted to a talking point previously delivered by the president.

‘Well, let’s start with this: First of all, a lot of the same people who are criticizing what we rightly did in following through on a commitment that we made to forgive student loan debt are the same people who voted for a tax cut for the richest Americans,’ Harris told reporters before boarding Air Force Two to return to Washington.

The government hasn’t provided a “clear response” on who would foot the bill for Biden’s plan to cancel $10,000 and $20,000 in student debts owed by Americans, a reporter on the tarmac informed the vice president.

Harris said, “So when we look at who is benefitting from this, 90% of the folks who will benefit from student loan forgiveness earn under $75,000 a year, and that debt has been the reason that they’ve been unable to have a family, purchase a house, and pursue their piece of the American Dream.

In a video and a tweet, the White House has highlighted a similar statement made by Biden during Wednesday’s announcement on student loans.

Biden was questioned whether it was unjust to Americans who had already paid off their debts as he left the Roosevelt Room after unveiling the proposal to eliminate portions of student debt.

The White House played up a response that President Joe Biden gave when asked Wednesday if his student loan plan was unfair to Americans who already paid off their loans. Harris gave a similar answer when asked about the student loan forgiveness plan Monday in Florida

The White House also went after a group of House Republicans for complaining about the student loan plan while benefiting from having Paycheck Protection Program loans cancelled.

Last week, queries about how the plan would be paid for and how much it would cost were difficult to answer for White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Director of the Domestic Policy Council Susan Rice, and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council Bharat Ramamurti.

Ramamurti calculated that, assuming 75% of borrowers take advantage of the scheme, it would cost around $240 billion when he returned to the briefing room on Friday.
