The grieving mother of Jake McLean has been to Turkey to meet with the police who are conducting the investigation into the vehicle accident that killed her son and critically injured his girlfriend Yazmin Oukhellou.
Senior officials at the Yalikavak police station, who are investigating the facts surrounding the crash that occurred early on Sunday morning, will be available for Anita Walsh to talk with.
According to rumors, Jake and Yazmin got into a heated argument in a nightclub in Turkey just before the accident.
The two were driving down a winding, mountainous road that connects Bodrum to the seaside town of Yalikavak.
According to Turkish legal protocol, we will speak with Jake’s mother and obtain a statement from her, a police official at the station informed MailOnline. We’ve spoken to her briefly, and as you could expect, she’s distraught.

Lisa, Yazmin’s mother, has been comforting her daughter at the hospital where she is receiving care while she is also in Bodrum.
The claim that the on-off pair was “engaged in a fierce dispute” in front of partygoers inside a bar in the tourist destination city of Bodrum around 3am Sunday will undoubtedly pique the interest of Turkish authorities.
Despite their disagreement, Jake and Yazmin, 28, left the party together and got into a car, which he crashed shortly after at a well-known accident hotspot.
Jake, 33, was declared dead at the scene, while Yazmin was brought to the hospital after “severely injuring” one of her arms.
She underwent surgery, and is currently healing.
According to the police’s preliminary theory, Jake accidentally veered off the road, forcing the car to slide down a steep incline before coming to rest on its roof.
As part of a regular autopsy, they will nevertheless test the man’s blood for alcohol, and they intend to speak with Yazmin in the hospital to get her version of the collision.

According to residents who spoke to MailOnline, accidents happen frequently along the second portion of the highway, particularly among tourists who use it primarily at night to go between the clubs, pubs, and restaurants in Bodrum and Yalikavak.
Pictures of the area show a tight turn with tiny reflective signs alerting drivers to a sharp bend in the road, albeit these signs may be hard to see at night.
The area where Jake’s car is assumed to have left the tarmac, destroyed one of the warning signs, and subsequently descended an embankment is marked by tire tracks in the gravel by the side of the road.
Damage seen in the vegetation indicated the car plummeted 10 feet before coming to a rest.
Hussain, a staff member at the Yeri restaurant, stated: “Car accidents occur frequently along this road.
Although I was not present for this specific accident, I have heard that it was a bad one. Everyone in the area is aware of it.
Although there are signs alerting drivers to potentially hazardous turns, accidents nevertheless occur frequently since it’s dark and motorists are traveling too quickly.
Mehmet, a gas station employee at the base of the Bodrum-Yalikavak road, said: “This road has a lot of twists and can be very dangerous.”
“Unfortunately, a lot of accidents happen during the summer months,” said the official.
“We receive a lot of tourists here who rent their own cars.”
Yazmin, who gained prominence from her appearances on the reality TV series TOWIE, started dating Jake in May of last year.
In December, she revealed their relationship on Instagram.
When she said they had had experienced some “ups and downs” but “wouldn’t have it any other way,” she seemed to be hinting at the instability of their relationship.
But a month later, Jake was spotted “acting single” while on vacation in Dubai, and there were rumors that he was hooking up with Ellie Jones, an ex who had starred on Love Island.
At the time of the crash in Turkey, the pair was still regarded as being apart, and it is unclear exactly why they were together.
No other information has been provided, however sources close to the couple have speculated that they were in Bodrum to sign a business agreement together.
Now that Yazmin is recovering, her mother is reportedly by her bedside in Turkey.
Jake rose to fame thanks to his relationship with Lauren Goodger, a regular on TOWIE who also performed on Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Big Brother, whom he dated from 2012 until 2016.
Lauren finally spoke out about the accident yesterday by sharing an Instagram tribute to her ex.
The 35-year-old wrote: “RIP Jake.” She is now expecting her second child with partner Charles Drury. Right now, words escape me.
My condolences go out to your family and friends.
Sheila McLean, Jake’s aunt, eulogized her nephew today from her east London home, telling MailOnline: “Jake was a lovely youngster.” All of us are really upset.
Additionally, images of the accident scene have surfaced, showing a dark-colored automobile on its roof in a field of thick grass with paramedics and police officers close.
The car’s front and back doors are open, and the left-turn indicator is flashing while one of the front headlights is on.
According to close friends of Lauren, the expectant mother-of-one has been left “devastated” by Jake’s unexpected death.

But the reality star called it quits with Jake in January after learning that he had cheated on her with Ellie, a previous Love Island contestant.
Yazmin’s relationship with Jake, according to sources close to her, was “quite toxic at times.” When and how the couple reconciled are unknown.
Yazmin was scheduled to return to TOWIE this year after Dominican Republic shoots with the cast.
In June, she posted images from the Caribbean with her co-star Harry Derbidge, 28.
Yazmin reportedly traveled to Ibiza after wrapping up production for TOWIE in the Dominican Republic.
