On January 6, 2021, a mob of pro-Trump supporters descended into the Capitol, and hundreds face criminal charges.
It took four hours to secure the facility in order for Congress to confirm the win of President Joe Biden.
After more than a year, at least 910 individuals have been charged. This table is searchable and lists them all.

At least 910 individuals have been detained and charged with crimes since supporters of then-President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, forcing Congress into lockdown and causing damage to federal buildings.

The FBI is requesting public assistance to identify those who participated in one of the most well-documented crimes in U.S. history.

However, since the majority of rioters were permitted to go free that day, it is taking time to locate them.

This table contains the names, charges, links to court papers, and connections to further stories for all those who have been charged thus far. We keep it current as the Department of Justice provides further names and information.

To date, just 390 of the rioters facing federal charges have entered guilty pleas.

As FBI agents go through video footage, social media posts, phone location data, and tips from the public, it is anticipated that the number of insurgents accused will increase.

Congressional Democrats asked for a bipartisan committee to investigate the Capitol riot, similar to the one created after September 11, but Senate Republicans blocked the effort.

On June 30, 2021, the House of Representatives narrowly approved to establish a commission. The only Republicans on the panel are Representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. Kevin McCarthy, minority leader of the House, stated that the Republican Party would conduct its own investigation regarding January 6, 2021.

Since its inception, the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol has conducted hundreds of interviews, issued dozens of subpoenas, and sifted thousands of documents pertaining to the disturbances. The committee’s first hearing to present its findings is set for June 9, 2022.

On January 13, 2022, the Department of Justice unsealed an indictment against Elmer Stewart Rhodes, the head of the Oath Keepers, and ten of his allies, charging them with “seditious conspiracy” — the most serious allegation leveled against any of the alleged Capitol rioters to far.

After less than four hours of deliberation, the jury found rioter Guy Reffitt guilty on each of the five counts he faced in the first trial related to the Capitol riots. According to US prosecutors, Reffitt took a firearm and flex-cuffs to the Capitol but did not enter the premises.
