In the fifth and last season of “Stranger Things,” Maya Hawke expressed her desire for her Robin character to “die with dignity.”
Hawke shared her predictions for the eventual death toll of the well-liked Netflix series “Stranger Things” in an interview with Rolling Stone. Hawke joined the “Stranger Things” cast as Robin in its third season.
Since it’s the final season, Hawke predicted that “people are definitely going to die.” “I would want to pass away and have my time as a hero. Like any actor, I would desire to pass away with dignity.”
Despite having a non-zero death toll, the four-season run of “Stranger Things” has seen no important characters killed off.
The cast of the programme has made the following observation: Both Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp, who portray Will and Eleven, urged that the show kill off certain characters since the cast had become “far too huge” in an interview with The Wrap.
Brown referred to Matt and Ross Duffer, the “Stranger Things” showrunners, as “sensitive Sallies” in the same interview because of their hesitation to kill off people.
In a July episode of the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the brothers defended themselves against Brown’s charges, claiming that taking off one of the show’s younger characters would alter the spirit of the programme.
According to Hawke, the Duffers “fall in love” with the roles and the players to the point that they find it difficult to kill them. She did, however, admit that she would be open to a spinoff series with Joe Keery, whose character Steve had a strong, banter-filled connection with Robin, if she didn’t receive that hero’s death in the show’s fifth season.
Hawke said, “Normally I wouldn’t really be in favour of a spinoff, but if I had the chance to do it with Joe Keery, I would do anything.” “He has amazing limits and is really witty, lovely, and intelligent. He’s a great colleague, and I’d do anything for him.”
