In New York City, police are looking for a disturbed pervert who touched an elderly woman’s buttocks on the sidewalk, causing her to trip and break her arm.

A man on a bicycle approached the 88-year-old woman near the intersection of Wyckoff Avenue and Greene Avenue early on Tuesday at around 2.20am in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The violent attacker can be seen on surveillance footage sneaking up behind the woman as she walks on the sidewalk and grabbing her from behind without ever getting off his bike.

The woman spins around to face her attacker before slipping and falling to the sidewalk.

She appears to be carrying a cane and a shopping bag.

The sufferer, who had a shattered left arm and a serious hip injury, was sent to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.

The insane groper, according to police, fled southbound on Greene Avenue.

The assailant is seen in surveillance footage riding a bike and with a white helmet, a grey T-shirt, and dark jeans.

It happens at a time when violent crime in New York is disturbingly on the rise.

A succession of seemingly random attacks on the city’s streets and subways has particularly unnerved citizens.

On an Upper East Side sidewalk on Wednesday, a 20-year-old woman was shot and killed at close range while pushing her baby kid in a stroller. Police are looking at a possible domestic violence motive in that case.

Donny Ubiera, 32, was accused of randomly stabbing two riders while aboard a Flushing to Times Square 7-line subway train earlier this month.

One of the victims had a face stabbing, and the other had neck wounds.

A day prior to the attacks, Ubiera had been freed from jail after being detained for brandishing a knife at police and refusing to put it away.

The 87-year-old Broadway vocal coach was pushed to death on a Manhattan sidewalk in March by event planner Lauren Pazienza, 26, who was accused of being on a “wine-fueled frenzy.”

Robbery, burglary, and felony assault are the three offenses that have increased the most in New York City overall this year compared to previous year, totaling a 38 percent increase.

The FBI’s definition of rape has increased this year by 14% compared to previous year, and other sex offenses have increased by 13% as well.

However, homicides are down 13% from last year, and shooting victims are down 9%; Adams and law enforcement officials attribute these improvements to efforts to remove illegal firearms from the streets.

Former NYPD officer and current mayor of New York, Eric Adams, has frequently advocated for the eradication of crime in the city but has come under fire for his inability to do it.

Adams has attributed the problem to permissive gun rules and a court system that releases repeat offenders from prison quickly.
