A lady who yelled racial insults at a Turkish taxi driver while intoxicated in front of her two children was fined £200.

Joanna Brophy, 32, was fined £200 after hurling vile racist abuse at a Turkish taxi driver, telling him: 'You do not belong in this country' and 'You f***ing coloured t**t.'
On June 4, during a wild house party, Joanna Brophy, 32, informed the driver, “You do not belong in this country,” when he left her home at 1am.

She also said the phrase “You f***ing colored t**t” as she stumbled out of Ozkan Koc’s private taxi with the three children.

The mother was the only adult responsible for her two girls, ages seven and five, and a family friend, age eleven, who was scheduled to spend the night.

Brophy was supposed to care for all of the children at her home in Warrington, Cheshire, but was arrested for her heinous cruelty instead.

Mr. Koc, age 40, called the police because he feared that the passenger would harm him during her offensive outburst.

After officers detained Brophy at the residence, she was let to sober up in the cells, but she said she could hardly recall what she had said to Mr. Koc.

She was meant to be looking after her two daughters and the friend at her home in Warrington, Cheshire

Brophy pleaded guilty in Warrington Magistrates’ Court to both racially aggravated embarrassment and being drunk in charge of a child.

32-year-old Joanna Brophy was fined £200 for screaming racist insults at a Turkish cab driver, including “You do not belong in this country” and “You f***ing coloured t**t”

The mother was in a taxi home from a drunken house party despite being the sole adult in charge of her two children, ages seven and five, and a family friend, age eleven, who was scheduled to have a sleepover.

In addition to a £200 fine, she was ordered to pay Mr. Koc £100.

Prosecutor Laura Simpson stated, “The events date back to the early hours of June 4.”

“The defendant was with her two children, ages five and seven, and the eleven-year-old friend of one of the children.” She took a taxi from one location to the location of the defendant.

The cab driver is the victim. He stated that he could tell the defendant was intoxicated. When they arrived at the defendant’s residence, she was verbally aggressive and insulting to the taxi driver.

She said, “You idiotic dolt. You do not belong in this country’ and ‘You f***ing colored t**t’ were common phrases.

She proceeded to the driver’s door. The victim feared she was going to attack him since she had her arm lifted and the window was open.

Consequently, he shut the window and contacted the police. Officers visited the defendant’s residence. They knocked and the defendant answered the door.

She was the only adult present in charge of three children while extremely inebriated.

Brophy pled guilty at Warrington Magistrates’ Court (pictured) to racially aggravated humiliation and being intoxicated in charge of a minor.

Mrs. Simpson stated that Brophy did not recollect what she had told Mr. Koc during a subsequent police interview.

The prosecution stated, “She recalled asking him what nation he was from and expressed regret for any discriminatory statements.”

She admitted that she was inebriated while supervising three youngsters.

As part of a 12-month community order, Brophy was also sentenced to pay £215 in costs and victim surcharge and to participate in 25 days of rehabilitative activities with the probation department.

Alf Bean, the chairman of the bench, informed her, “The bench finds it most unfortunate that you are 32 years old and have no prior convictions.”

And to appear before the court having behaved in this manner toward a taxi driver based on the color of his skin is very inappropriate. We have a low opinion on that.

The presence of youngsters heightened the severity of this individual’s behavior. This behavior is completely wrong and terrible.

‘However, I am aware that this seems to be an isolated incidence. Do not let that happen again.’

After the magistrates stated that they had reviewed Brophy’s probation report, her attorney, Susan Hedges, said, “It is a thorough and helpful report, and there is not much else I would say.”
