A team of Turkish doctors and health officials carried out a health event sponsored by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency and the Yilik Salk Foundation, and as part of this event, they conducted a health scan in the Sikasso region as well as the Sugulinku and Faladie refugee camps close to the capital, Bamako.

The health scan, which encompassed internal medicine, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, traumatology, emergency medicine, public health, children’s health, and childhood ailments, was conducted from June 19 to June 25 in Bougouny in the Sikasso area.

The health scan was beneficial to more than 250 patients.

In addition, the group distributed free medicine and checked more than 300 patients at Bougouny Referans Hospital.

Nearly 500 individuals were checked during the health scans conducted in the Faladie Refugee Camps, which house people who escaped the civil strife in northern Mali. Additionally, roughly 30 refugee children had their circumcisions.
