Senator Dino Melaye of Kogi West has responded to those who have criticized him over his status, telling them to sue God for blessing him or seek help from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a tweet, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain said, “God choose to bless me, sue him or ask INEC to help you.”
Melaye made this statement following the recent face-off between him and the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
Governor Wike had earlier criticized Melaye, stating that he lacked the ability to become Kogi State’s governor.
According to Wike, if PDP nominated Melaye as its gubernatorial candidate, the party would lose the election.
In response to Wike’s comments, Melaye stated that the governor’s remarks were fueled by anger over his refusal to support his vice-presidential ambition.
