Makinde’s Call for Party Unity
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kogi State, Dino Melaye, has called on Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and other PDP governors to demonstrate their commitment to party healing by supporting the party at the ongoing Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.
Makinde’s Appeal for Healing
In a recent retreat for elected officials in Bauchi, Governor Seyi Makinde addressed the internal conflicts that occurred during the general elections and urged PDP stakeholders to resolve their differences and focus on unifying the party.
He emphasized the need for the healing process to begin immediately and for the party to look forward.
Melaye’s Challenge for Action
Responding to Governor Makinde’s call for healing, Dino Melaye challenged him and other PDP governors to show their support for the party at the ongoing tribunal.
Melaye expressed his appreciation for Makinde’s statement, particularly the phrase “Healing starts now,” and suggested that the best way to initiate healing is for Makinde to attend the tribunal and support the PDP candidate.
