Daughter asks TikTok followers to help identify the assailant who left her father speechless

A daughter is pleading with her TikTok followers to help catch the person responsible for the assault on her father that left him with life-changing injuries. John Lowe, a 58-year-old father-of-three, was attacked and left unconscious in Clarendon Park, Salford on Valentine’s Day.

His daughter, Lily, is asking for anyone with information to come forward as her father is unable to speak or walk following the assault. A 32-year-old man was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of attempted murder but has since been released on bail.

Lily has launched the #Justice4John campaign and intends to distribute appeal leaflets in Salford.

The attack on John Lowe has devastated his family, leaving him severely brain damaged and in a vegetative state. Lily describes the attack as unprovoked and begs for witnesses to come forward. She shares that her father was once full of energy and the life of the party but is now a shell of a person.

Lily’s social media presence as “councilestatequeen” with over 500,000 followers has now become a platform to campaign for justice for her father. She is hoping that her appeal on social media will help Greater Manchester Police obtain further information about the attack.

According to Lily, John was a cheeky chap in his younger days but had never harmed anyone. The word on the streets in Salford is that it was an unprovoked attack.

John has very little quality of life at the moment and may be put on a slow stream rehabilitation. However, he was badly beaten and suffered severe head trauma, and the diagnosis at the moment is that he will be severely disabled at best. The family is witnessing him deteriorate right in front of their eyes.

Greater Manchester Police continue to follow a number of lines of enquiry and ask members of the public for information. They appeal to anyone who may have been in the area or saw anything suspicious to come forward.

Lily pleads with anyone who was on Clarendon Park to identify the attacker and bring justice and peace to her family. She warns that the attacker is still on the streets of Salford and could do the same to someone else’s loved ones.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or through the LiveChat function on www.gmp.police.uk quoting log number 1218 of 14/02/23.

Alternatively, details can be shared anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
