Waleed Aly is left speechless at Reuben Kaye’s comment about Jesus

During a live appearance on The Project, queer comedian Reuben Kaye delivered an X-rated joke about Jesus that left the panel stunned. Kaye spoke about the hate he receives over his sexuality and drag performances, particularly from the Christian community. He then quipped, “I love Jesus. I love any man who can get nailed for three days straight and return for more.” While Sarah Harris and other cast members laughed along, Waleed Aly was left speechless.

However, the controversial joke received mixed reactions online, with some finding it hilarious and others deeming it offensive and inappropriate for a timeslot when children were watching.

Kaye is known for his crude humour, which he combines with singing and showmanship in his comedy shows. He is embarking on a national tour featuring jokes centred around touchy subjects such as sexuality and racism, with a desire to “poke the bear.”

However, some viewers have called on the network to apologize for the crude humor and the offensive joke directed towards Christians during a family timeslot. Despite the mixed reactions, Kaye remains unapologetic and continues to push boundaries with his comedy.
